OUR TEAM

At Hawai‘i Sports Radio Network, our coverage starts with people who live and breathe the game.

Our team is made up of broadcasters, journalists, photographers, former athletes, and community leaders who are deeply rooted in Hawai‘i’s sports culture. From high school stadiums to collegiate arenas, from press boxes to the State Capitol, HSRN’s staff works every day to deliver thoughtful analysis, compelling storytelling, and live play-by-play coverage across the islands.

We believe great sports coverage goes beyond the final score. It’s about context. It’s about community. It’s about representing Hawai‘i with professionalism, preparation, and pride.

Whether on the mic, behind the lens, or behind the scenes, our team is committed to elevating local voices and connecting fans to the teams and athletes that matter most.

Kuʻulei Agbayani is the driving force behind Hawai‘i Sports Radio Network’s daily operations and on-air presence. In December 2021, she launched Wake Up in The Den w/ Kuʻulei Agbayani, becoming the first full-time female host of a daily sports talk radio show in Hawai‘i. The show continues to serve as a cornerstone of HSRN’s programming, blending local insight, national headlines, and thoughtful conversations that elevate Hawai‘i’s sports culture.

With more than 15 years in sports media, Kuʻulei’s journey began at Honolulu’s ESPN Radio affiliate shortly after college, where she started as a Promotions Assistant and worked her way through nearly every role in the building — including production, traffic, programming, and on-air hosting. That hands-on foundation shaped the versatile broadcaster she is today.

A proud Mililani High School alumna, Kuʻulei was a multi-sport athlete in basketball and soccer before continuing her soccer career at Chaminade University, where she studied Criminology & Criminal Justice. Her athlete’s perspective remains central to her storytelling and analysis.

As a color analyst for college and high school flag football, basketball and soccer, Kuʻulei brings preparation, detail, and a deep understanding of the game to every broadcast. Her coverage spans football, surfing, women’s sports, MMA, sports business, legislation, and the evolving sports wagering landscape — reflecting her belief that Hawai‘i sports coverage should be as broad and dynamic as the community it represents.

Though she never initially aspired to work in sports media, Kuʻulei found her calling through a relentless commitment to learning and growth. She still approaches every broadcast with the same mindset: improve daily, elevate local voices, and represent Hawai‘i sports with integrity.
