Game Recap utilizing ScoringLive stats:

Waianae’s balanced offensive attack and stingy defense powered the Seariders to a decisive win over rival Nanakuli.

Quarterback John Michael Kaio opened the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown run in the first quarter with Shawdan Pacheco running in for a successful 2-point conversion. In the second quarter Kaio found Keonakoa Malaia on a 19-yard strike to give Waianae a two-score lead at the half.

The Seariders extended their advantage after the break with a 19-yard field goal from Pacheco and a highlight 85-yard touchdown pass from Bryson Boswell-Barnayha.

In the fourth, Memphis Baker connected with Kalani Meyers-Tuinei for a 20-yard score to seal the victory.

Boswell-Barnayha was electric, rushing for 128 yards on just four carries plus a touchdown. Kaio finished 17-for-32 with 184 yards and a score, while Malaia led all receivers with 86 yards. Defensively, Waianae forced multiple turnovers, including two interceptions by Daymeon Anduha.

Nanakuli battled behind quarterback Allix Yap, who threw for 95 yards, and running back Zade Kalua, who paced the offense with 81 rushing yards. But the Golden Hawks couldn’t find the end zone against a disciplined Seariders defense.
