HONOLULU – The University of California, Berkeley’s newest playmaker has returned to O’ahu in a big way — right at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.
Travelers passing through baggage claim can’t miss the new billboards showcasing Ewa Beach native Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, Cal’s rising lefty quarterback. The rotating display, posted in both terminals, proudly declares: “808 to the Bay, The Islands’ Quarterback.”
The showcase was made possible by the California Legends NIL Collective, which backs Cal athletes across multiple sports.
Sagapolutele turned heads in his collegiate debut last weekend, showing why the Golden Bears are so high on him. Next up: Cal vs. Texas Southern this Saturday — and all eyes will be on the QB from the 808.
Cal’s @JaronKeawe on EVERY screen on rotation at the entire HNL Baggage Claim Level. This is one of the first things visitors see. Wild. #GoBears #EwaBeach #GoCal #BeatStanford pic.twitter.com/oxI4d9T1et
