The title stays atop Kapalama Heights.

Kamehameha went back-to-back and claimed the program’s 25th state crown with a four-set win over No. 1 Iolani, 25-16, 25-16, 15-25, 25-22, at the Cannon Activities Center Saturday night.

Kalaweloilehua Chock and Kamanaookalani Goldstein each put down 17 kills to power the Warriors (12-6) over the Raiders (14-2).

It was the seventh meeting between the two schools this season, but just Kamehameha’s second over Iolani this season.

“Our goal is always to play our best match in the last match of the season,” said coach Chris Blake, who has guided the Warriors to 13 state titles.

“We’re doing a lot of work on the court, we do a lot of work in the weight room, we do a lot of work on the track and it’s all a testament to the work ethic of our players, our strength and conditioning staff, but we believe we’re built for this,” Blake added.

Kalamakuokanaauao Crabbe added 12 kills and Kealoha Lyons and Alohalani Chun each added seven more to round out the Kamehameha offense. Tiahna Aldeguer was at the controls with 52 assists and 16 digs.

Poema Kalama-Kingma had a double-double of 13 kills and 15 digs to lead the Raiders in the loss.
