The 50th state will have 19 games in 2024 to showcase the talents that the islands have to offer.

Radford and Kamehameha-Maui kick things off Thursday night with a double-header against a pair of teams from California at John E. Velasco Stadium.

The biggest non-league matchup of the week however is with three-time Open Division state champion Kahuku traveling to the ninth island to take on national power Bishop Gorman.

“This is a huge opportunity to showcase our talents nationally,” said Kahuku defensive back Aiden Manutai.

It is the Red Raiders’ third trip to the continent in as many years as traveled to St. John Bosco in 2022 and to Mater Dei last season.

“We are fortunate to play top five ranked teams every year,” Manutai said. “This opens the door for Hawai’i ball since we are still a slept-on state. Gorman is a national powerhouse that we are looking forward to competing against.”
