KAHUKU — Wide right.

Kahuku survives.

The top-ranked Red Raiders got all they could handle from No. 4 Saint Louis and avoided an upset at home after a missed field goal as time expired in regulation resulted in a 14-13 victory Saturday night.

It was a tale of two halves as Kahuku trailed 13-0 at the halftime break. But a pair of second-half touchdown passes by Troy Mariteragi and PATs by Manoa Kahalepuna and Brody Palolo was the difference in the Red Raiders’ rally.

Halahuni Langi’s 6-yard TD reception got Kahuku on the board at the 4:20 mark of the third quarter and Noah Ah You’s 25-yard scoring grab with 8:50 remaining in the game accounted for Kahuku’s two second-half scores.

Ben Roberts led the Red Raiders’ defensively with three sacks while Madden Soliai patrolled the secondary with seven solo tackles and an interception.
