KAHUKU RED RAIDERS DOMINATE KAILUA SURFRIDERS IN OIA EAST PLAY, 66-33

KAILUA — With four players scoring in double figures, Kahuku handed Kailua its first loss of the regular season Saturday night in a 66-33 win at Harry Murai Gymnasium.

Point guard Posia Wily led all scorers with 16 points while adding 10 points, six steals, five assists and two made 3-pointers for a solid all-around game as the Red Raiders improved to 10-5 overall and 7-0 in OIA East play.

Makana Kamakeeaina also had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three assists, three steals and two blocks.

Elisa Holakeituai was solid off the bench with 12 points and freshman Tailele Wily-Ava tallied 11 points to go along with a game-high seven steals.

The Red Raiders as a whole recorded 25 total steals and they also won the rebounding battle, 43 to 22.

Kiani Hoolulu led the Surfriders (11-7, 6-1) in the loss with 15 points while Miyah Galdeira banked a triple at the fourth-quarter buzzer to finish with 11 points.
