In a rare, in season, home-and-home series, the University of Hawai’i defeated New Mexico State 48-34 in front of a “sold out” crowd of 1,000. Dedrick Parson made his first career start in place of an injured Dae Dae Hunter and did not disappoint with 215 yards of total offense and three touchdowns. The Rainbow Warrior defense also contributed to the board as Khoury Bethley and Darisu Muasau returned interceptions for touchdowns, both career firsts.

It was a high scoring win in front of fans for the first time since 2019, but many will agree that the highlight of the night was the announcement that the number 15 would be officially retired from UH Football in honor of the late QB Colt Brennan.
